Iris Dorresteijn-Westermeier
Since June 2014 Iris has been working as a clerk in our purchasing and selling area now. She is the faithful and intrepid soul of the office and impresses through her competence, reliability and friendliness. Her faculties are in import and export, taking care of our databases and SNP / tests, SAP and MS. In addition, as a certified childcare specialist, nothing easily makes her lose her calm. Moreover, she can draw upon many years of professional experience, as chief secretary and also commercial executive. Iris speaks the foreign languages English and Dutch and is a founder of Pro Animals Germany e.V. Association.
 
 
Alica Sommer
Alica works since July 2019 in the purchasing and sales department. She grew up with Holstein Forum and successfully completed her 2-year training as a merchant in wholesale and foreign trade in June 2019. Alica has already gained in-depth breeding knowledge and made many experiences in all areas of work. With her young and dynamic nature, she can be used everywhere. She speaks the foreign language English.
 
 
Joe Schweigen
Joe Schweigen started his activities for Holstein Forum in the area of Purchasing and Sales in December 2016. He stands for the new generation at Holstein Forum and is placed in the middle of Europe. We rely on his talent and his special eye for the animals. His motivation and openness for new ideas is contagious. His areas of expertise extend to the marketing and purchasing of our core products, the auction industry and the social media. As agrarian specialist in hoof care, fitter and breeder Joe knows well the breeding industry and exhibition scene. He has already been successful as an exhibitor of National Show Champions in Luxembourg and Belgium, as well as a consigner of SwissExpo in Lausanne. In the year 2016 he already successfully managed the Holstein Forum co-organized sales '1. German Selection Sale' and '1. Meiers Holstein Sale' as a barn manager. He speaks the foreign languages German, English and French. His mother tongue is Luxembourgish.
 
 
Jasmin Berg
Jasmin comes from a Holstein Farm near Wuppertal and completed her apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant at a breeding organization in Münster. At the moment, she is doing her bachelor's degree in business agriculture and horticulture. Jasmin is involved in the care team of the RUW and has been traveling with Holstein Forum already at several auctions, whereby we have learned to appreciate her high level of dedication and her knowledge. We are looking forward to welcoming Jasmin as a temporary assistant in our team!
 
 
Astrid Fertig
Astrid has been working at Holstein Forum since January 2017. She is responsible for the Marketing and Accounting. As a native Danish she enriches the company through her optimistic and humorous nature. The international office clerk has a solid experience in various, globally active companies in the area of product marketing and bookkeeping, which she brings to the Holstein Forum. However, influenced due to her childhood on the grandparents farm, her down-to-earth-attitude has always maintained. Astrid speaks German, Danish and English.
 
 
Bernd Sommer
Bernd is the CEO and owner of Holstein Forum GmbH. In April 1994 he founded the company together with 2 partners. In 1999 he was taking over the sole management and ownership of Holstein Forum. As a graduate agricultural engineer, Bernd is the heart of our company. He focuses primarily on the faculties of top genetics - breeding programs, national and international market / competition / distribution of exclusive genetics auctioneering, export of breeding animals, as well as cooperation with breeding organizations, AI studs and breeding farms.
